Our Menus

The Samuel Pepys prides itself on designing a menu that caters for all tastes and apppetites.

Working with fresh and locally sourced produce the kitchen team have embraced the concept of traditional classic pub food on the main menu and combined this with contemporary dishes for those special occasions.

Homemade pies are a speciality with a daily choice that can be served with a choice of different mash potatoes, new potatoes or chips.  We also offer an extensive range of burgers on our menu and a choice of daily specials and grills are also available on our boards.

We have some fantastic dining offers and full menu details can be found below:

For those with a smaller appetite and Senior Citizens a set one, two or three course Little Lunch Menu is available Monday to Saturday Lunchtimes from 12 to 2.30pm.

A set Sunday Lunch menu is offered from 12 noon to 3.30pm.

We're also able to cater for a range of different events and functions for groups of different sizes. We have a buffet menu on offer with a wide selection of finger food available.

If you would like any more information about our offers or our buffet/function menus, please don't hesitate to give us a call or send an email.

Allergen information sheet

The menus in  The King William IV, Fenstanton offers a great choice for our customers. However, we know that for some it is not just a simple choice of choosing whatever you want.

We have created an allergy sheet for our menus which shows if any dishes contain any of the main 14 allergens.

We regularly have dishes on our special boards which change and are not part of our permanent menus. If any dishes on our special boards contain any of the 14 allergens this will be indicated with a ’A’.  Staff will be able to inform you which allergen it is so that you can make an informed choice.

Important Information:

  • The information provided will enable you to make your own decision on menu choice. The information is based on standard garnishes and accompaniments included on the menu.
  • Allergy data detailed in the table has been derived from specifications obtained from the suppliers of our products. However, we use nuts, fish, eggs, shellfish, milk and gluten within our kitchen and it is impossible to fully guarantee separation of these items in storage, preparation or cooking. We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that this table is accurate. However, we cannot guarantee that the product is '100% free from' that allergen because of the risk of unexpected cross-contamination.
  • We review and republish the allergen data available to us regularly but the circumstances in which a product is made, packaged, stored and distributed may change without our knowledge.
  • Please inform staff of any food allergies prior to placing your order, even if you have eaten the dish previously, so that every precaution can be taken in the kitchen to prevent cross-contamination.
